Animal Welfare League of Arlington

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington works to improve the lives of animals and people by providing resources, care, and protection. I connected with this organization in 2017 while living in the area and I’ve been volunteering with them since then on projects ranging from social media graphics to merch design.

EVENT Logo

Logo design for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s Walk for the Animals event in 2022. The shelter was interested in a 90s theme for their event.

I started with brainstorming and creating a mood board. I knew I wanted to incorporate some of the funky iconic shapes of the 90s and I decided to base the color palette in AWLA’s brand colors of blue & teal and amp up the saturation and add more bold, bright shades to capture the 90s feel.

I built the logo in full-color for digital use on social media & emails and in one-color for printing T shirts on a budget.

To round out the mini-brand for the event, I designed a supporting pattern for use across event materials.
